I
enjoy making costumes and, occasionally, clothes for myself or
others to wear. Mom taught me to sew (Thanks, Mom!) as well as
many other things (did I mention the deck she built herself a few
years ago?). It's nice to be able to mend things rather than
having to buy new when a simple thing like a seam rips.
It's also paid
some bills during college when I made costumes for a children's
theatre group. I was also able to help out backstage by making
costumes for college theatre productions. A useful skill.
Autumn 2003:
Aside from
mending and clothing and costume alterations (I've lost a lot of
weight!) my newest project (well, not exactly 'new' - I bought the
materials years ago - but never actually started work) is a
holiday cross-stitch project.
